"Para sa aming mga Lumad, ang lupa ay buhay talaga."

Submitted in partial completion of requirements for a videography class, I created a mini documentary on a subject that was timely in 2019 and close to my personal advocacy of liberation of minorities. I attended a conference held at University of the Philippines Diliman to hear directly from the Lumad people on their struggles amidst the militarization of their schools before seeking refuge in Manila.

I had the chance to speak with Katkat, one of the students whose lives were personally affected by the relentless violence inflicted upon the Lumad people. Through the short interview I conducted with her together with a friend, Liberty, she sought out to speak the piece of her people.
